The Day Zshare Died

It's back now after a couple weeks in the wilderness.. gonna go catch up on what I've been missing!

This is annoying. So Zshare, which most people use to host mixes, radio shows, other stuff they wanna share, has been blocked for users of almost all UK ISPs, as part of some bullshit anti-piracy measures. Definitely people using BT, Sky and Virgin Media have problems. Bear in mind BT supplies the actual service for lots of other ISPs, so even if your contract isn't with BT, the chances are your access is still with them.

What happens is that after the 20 seconds has counted down to zero, the link to download is displayed but it links straight back to the first page you arrived at.

So if you're in the UK and you've been having problems with Zshare, or it's just straight broken, that's why.

==update==
This could possibly be down to Zshare themselves blocking access from certain countries. It's starting to happen to users from Canada too. There's a clunky and quite long-winded work around here which basically involves routing your internet traffic through to a proxy in the States.

Hopefully this will get fixed soon, but if it doesn't maybe we should start making trips to Calais to illegally download hip hop music.. it'll be like the booze cruises in the 90s..

You aint lying..

Thought it was just me for weeks.. the worst thing about it, i phoned Virgin Media and they said they havent blocked any websites so it's most likely zshare fault..
