Classic NORE mix

Cipha Sounds just uploaded a rip of this classic 1998 mix tape.

It's an album sampler mix for Noreaga's first solo album, hosted by Funk Flex with Cipha on the decks. I remember gettin a bootleg dub of this from one of those tape sellers on oxford street, when I first came to London... This was a cool time in Hip Hop*.. people were stressing about things being "jiggy" or "backpack" or whatever, but there were tons of classic records knocking around.. and people were just slightly less concerned about trying to sell ringtones and concentrated more on making decent music. If I *ever* get time, I'm definately going to make a mix of stuff from that era.

Anyway check out the juggling & the cuts on this.. hearing tapes like this and guest djs on westwood's show is pretty much what got me into djing in the first place.

*as far as I know, at this time I was walking the mean streets of.. erm.. Wiltshire.
